Game 1: Malph Jungle (11/26/12)

This is an attempt to analyze my thoughts, see what I remember about my games, and overall, try and improve in solo queue ^^. I'll be honest, I got this idea off of reddit and I'd just like to try and start out. At the time of this "writing", the game was played 10 hours ago. If you're stopping by to read, thanks! The banning/picking stage is always the toughest part of the game, in my opinion. Often, arguments and questionable decisions start here. This was one of them. Mid, Top, and ADC were instantly called, but Olaf refused to play support (I chose jungle). Fortunately, Nunu complied. I was a bit wary of Morde going mid as well, but in the end, I guess I was fine with it as I assumed Morde would easily be able to outpush Ryze.

Blue side is always nice, because first pick is incredibly important in solo queue, in my opinion. You can grab a champ that's either OP or makes a huge impact in the game. This game, as you can see in the bans, Shen was open and we were first pick. Generally, in a professional game, Shen would be first picked 90% of the time. However, I decided to opt for Malph, as I was sure he would make a larger impact on the game.

The game started out as any game would, although bot lane got an early first blood somehow, which must have snowballed that lane, because it would continue to win. My first gank came top, where Irelia jumped on Olaf, thinking she could Equilibrium Strike for a stun and win a trade. However, I was there, ready to jump on her, and that's what happened. We got a nice kill and I believe I took on it. That's going to happen a lot this game, and that's something I need to desperately work on, although the jungle getting kills is never that bad.

At this point, I believe we were 3-2, up on kills, as bot lane was winning trades. I continued to gank top and mid and steal Shen's big wraith (I assume this actually had a nice impact, setting Shen pretty far behind), using my ult once on mid to grab a kill on Ryze and snowball Morde ahead. At this point, we took dragon and had a nice lead. From then on, I can't really remember what happened, only that their team fell apart. Bot would have no wards and I would just go in and ult them, leading to a double kill. I kept taking the kills on accident, however. Nunu did the same, ending with 4/1/7 or something like, if I recall correctly.

My only death came on a trade that we did win, however riskily. We had been caught in their jungle, they were chasing, but we managed to deal quite a bit of damage. I blindly flash-ulted into the bush near their wraiths and Shen or Irelia was there, I don't remember. However, we cleaned up 4 kills for myself and Olaf I believe.

By the end of the game, we had at least twice their kills and they could do nothing to stop us. Ezreal and I ended up being able to 2v4 them with ease. They surrendered at 20 minutes and at that point, we had 1 or 2 inhibs down.

RESULT: WIN
